  • Q. When is the next adidas Silverstone Half Marathon?
    A. The next adidas Silverstone Half Marathon takes place on Sunday 12 March 2017.
  • Q. How do I enter the 2017 adidas Silverstone Half Marathon?
    A. The online entry system for the 2017 adidas Silverstone Half Marathon is now closed.
  • Q. How much does it cost to enter the 2017 adidas Silverstone Half Marathon?
    A. Entry into the 2017 adidas Silverstone Half Marathon costs £25, or £23 for running club members.
  • Q. I have moved. How do I let you know my change of address?
    A. Please email helpdesk@londonmarathonevents.co.uk with your name, date of birth, telephone number, old address and new address. Your address details will then be changed in our system and a confirmation will be emailed to you when this has been done. Please do not call the helpdesk with changes of address as these can only be processed by email.
  • Q. My friend/family member is unable to run but has a place; can I run using their entry?
    A. Places in the adidas Silverstone Half Marathon are non-transferable under any circumstances (see terms and conditions of entry). Anyone attempting to run using another person’s entry will be disqualified and banned for life from the adidas Silverstone Half Marathon and all other events organised by London Marathon Events Limited.
  • Q. I am ill, injured or unable to run – what do I do?
    A. If you are ill or injured we advise you NOT to take part. If you decide not to run for any reason, you must return your IPICO Sports Tag. Please use the special Freepost envelope in your Final Instructions booklet. It is a condition of the event that all timing tags that are not returned within 21 days of the event are subject to a £10 lost-tag charge.
  • Q. Am I entitled to a refund if I am not able to run?
    A. Runners who decide not to run are not entitled to a refund, as per the terms and conditions of entry.
  • Q. Can participants in a wheelchair or similar assistive device be pushed around the course?
    A. No, this is not possible. The adidas Silverstone Half Marathon is run under British Athletics, World Para Athletics and IAAF rules which do not permit participants to receive any assistance during the event. Wheelchair users can enter the Day Chair category. Racing Chair entry will be available in due course.

THE RACE

  • Q. When will I receive my race pack?
    A. Race packs will be sent via Royal Mail post two weeks prior to Race Day.
  • Q. What will be included in my race pack?
    A. Your race pack will include your running number, IPICO Sports tag, Final Instructions booklet, baggage bag, safety pins and wire twist ties.
  • Q. What happens if I do not receive my pack in the post before Race Day?
    A. If you have not received your race pack in the post two weeks prior to Race Day please contact the helpdesk on 020 7902 0200 who will be able to issue you with a new pack. If you are unable to contact the helpdesk more than a week before the race, we will not be able to post a new pack to you. In this instance you will need to collect a race pack on the morning of the race from the Entry Enquiries Desk at Silverstone.
  • Q. What time does the race start?
    A. The adidas Silverstone Half Marathon starts at 12 noon at Copse Corner on the F1 circuit.
  • Q. At what time do I need to arrive at the Start?
    A. You should aim to be at the assembly area in The Paddock by 11:00.
  • Q. Where can I park?
    A. Car parking is available at the Silverstone circuit. You must make sure you get to Silverstone by 10:30 at the latest, as it is a 30-minute walk from the car parks to the centre of the circuit where the race starts. Please note that vehicle access is notoriously difficult to the circuit car parks when there are high volumes of traffic.
  • Q. How else can I get to Silverstone?

  • Q. How will I find the start?
    A. Signage and a PA system will direct you around the Start Assembly Area. Pace signs will indicate where you should line up.
  • Q. Are there drinks available on the course, and where?
    A. Drinks Stations will be located throughout the course. Buxton Natural Mineral Water will be available at miles 2.5, 7.5 and 10.5, while Lucozade Sport will be available at miles 5 and 9.5.
  • Q. Are there toilets along the course, and where?
    A. Toilets will be available on the course at mile 3. Fixed toilet blocks can also be found at regular intervals between miles 7 and 10.
  • Q. Where is the finish area?
    A. The race starts and finishes at Copse Corner on the F1 circuit.
  • Q. How can I meet up with friends/relatives after the race?
    A. Please arrange to meet your friends and/or relatives at a pre-designated point in the assembly area after the race.
  • Q. Where can I find my finish time?
    A. Results will be available on this website to all runners who wear the IPICO Sports Tag provided.

SPECTATORS

  • Q. I want to watch the race – what advice can you give me?
    A. Event signage will direct spectators to the grandstands around the start and finish areas. There is also easy access from The Paddock to catch miles 3 and 11 or supporters can head over to the Copse via the tunnel to see runners at the 10-mile point.   • Q. Can I track a runner during the race?
    A. No, there is no tracking system for the adidas Silverstone Half Marathon.
  • Q. Is there any entertainment on the day?
    A. A number of musical acts will be located around the Silverstone racetrack, at the Copse, Brooklands, Stowe and Abbey sections of the route.
