EVERY STEP YOU TAKE ON BEHALF OF THE MOTOR NEURONE DISEASE ASSOCIATION WILL HELP MAKE A DIFFERENCE

Motor Neurone Disease (MND) is a rapidly progressive, fatal illness that affects around 5,000 people in the UK.

It attacks the motor neurones (nerve cells) that send messages from the brain to the muscles. As the motor neurones die, the muscles stop working.

People with MND lose the ability to walk, talk or dress themselves, but usually their intellect and senses remain unaffected.

Life expectancy is short – only two to five years from diagnosis. With no known cause or cure three people in the UK die from MND every day.

The MND Association is the only charity dedicated to supporting people with MND in England, Wales and Northern Ireland. It also promotes research into causes, treatments and a cure.

But the MND Association relies largely on voluntary donations and your support is vital. Every step you take, every penny you raise, will help make a difference.

Once your place is secured you will receive our full support, from a fundraising pack and t-shirt to advice on training. We even lay on a celebratory after-run picnic*
